Gravestone, inscribed "Sir William Chambers, / Knight of the Polar Star;/ ARCHITECT,/ Surveyor General of His Majesty's Works. / F.R.S., F.A.S. & R.A. / Died March 8th 1796, / Aged 71". Signed "Gosden" and inscribed "In Westminster Abbey" by the artist.
